As a child Hila grew up in Afghanistan, before her and her family sought refuge in the UK. Hila very quickly learnt one of the simplest things in life is to be kind and to make everything in life as positive as possible, which led her on a career path that fulfils all she ever dreamt of.
Her make-up career started in MAC Cosmetics, where she offered unbiased advice to a customer – as always, and still to this day, her advice remained honest, thinking about the best products from any brand, believing in quality not just the name. Her advice impressed the customer, who turned out to be part of Prince’s team. Hila’s freelance career kicked off travelling on the ‘21 Nights’ Tour working with him for endless months.
Finding her passion, she continued working with music artists and other brands, including Illamasqua, all while focusing on her fashion career. She has worked for publications including Vogue, LOVE, Numero and CR Fashion Book. It has led her to work with the world’s biggest super models. Including working regularly with Naomi Campbell- creating looks for shows, events and editorials.
These days she can be found travelling with teams working on campaigns including Valentino, Chanel, MCM and with a range of celebrities including Golden Barbie, Cheryl, Maya Jama and Sofia Richie to name a few.
Hila’s passion for her work, and strive to achieve goals makes her a determined, focused and immensely talented asset to any team.
